Fourth of July is such a fun celebration! I absolutely love celebrating & hosting this holiday because to me it is all about being LAID BACK! For this years Fourth of July Tablescape I choose to keep it simple and neutral. I used our everyday Cambria dishes from Pottery Barn. You can shop them here. Then, I added in some blue & white gingham salad plates. I played off of things I already had to pull this tablescape together. For example – I used my blue & white ceramic ginger jars & vases to help set a holiday color theme with the blue.
The next way to create a tablescape that looks effortless and not over done for the holiday is adding some American flags. You do not need to spend a ton of money to recreate this tablescape which is EXACTLY why I love it so much! Think LESS IS MORE!
At family gatherings we are usually informal and have a buffet or family style meal. I love to keep things easy and throw silverware in glass jars so people can take what they need. Especially when we are eating al fresco!
The last two items you need are the usual essentials for a tablescape – candles & flowers! I opted for simplicity. I was able to score some white peonies & white hydrangeas from Trader Joe’s. I suggest keeping florals simple on Fourth of July – all white or all red etc. It helps keep the look cohesive and not look like holiday overload.
I hope you got inspired to create a fun, festive table for next week! If you do, please be sure to snap a picture and tag me on Instagram or Facebook @lailabelles so I can check it out!
