Welcome to our Fall Into Our Homes – Blog Hop! If you’re coming over from Color Joy Interiors, welcome! If you are new to my blog hello there! Grab a PSL or in my case a diet coke 🙂 and enjoy some fall decor!
My take on fall decor this year was different than past years. I went with a neutral and natural take with lots of greens, whites and natural elements. You will see a lot of eucalyptus, dried hydrangeas, birch logs and heirloom pumpkins (of course!) My reasoning behind this was simple. We just renovated our kitchen this summer and it is so light and bright, I did not want to darken things up. I am loving our kitchen so I wanted to continue to carry the airiness we have had from summer with added touches of fall warmth.
My pumpkin obsession has grown – I didn’t know that was possible! I love to mix faux and real pumpkins. I always decorate early for seasons so the faux pumpkins allow me to get a jump start on fall decorating. But as soon as the real ones come out…you know I’ll be the lady pumpkin diving into bins trying to grab the most “imperfect – perfect” ones!
I love decorating for fall because you can throw some pumpkins in a basket and poof! You have instant seasonal decor that is fairly reasonable. It also can last you a long time if you use mostly faux pumpkins.
I found a few Target Dollar Spot finds this year for super cheap that helped my look come together. The canister and pumpkin container were the perfect shade of green to mix in with the dried hydrangeas.
For our dining room this year I layered table runners to give a polished look and added a lot of mercury glass, metals and glass because one can never have too many candles!
This wreath was a STEAL! I found it online while searching one day for inspiration from Big Lots! I ran over as soon as I saw it and snagged it up! It currently is out of stock online but I know they still have some in stores so run by your local store!
