Hey everyone! If you are new to Laila Belles – WELCOME! I have teamed up with some very talented ladies for a Christmas blog hop – make sure to check out their posts, I have linked them all below.
Today I am sharing with you my cozy Christmas living room decor. Truth be told…I am taking it “easy” for Christmas decor this year. For those that know me this is a first time EVER occurrence! The reason? We will be headed to sandy beaches this year. Because of that I have dialed it WAY back. But it actually was nice because it pushed me out of comfort zone and allowed me to try some new things (like not using the color red – WHAT!?)
My theme was natural winter elegance. I used faux evergreen garlands, fresh eucalyptus, pine cones, birch logs and lots and lots of candles. The best part of this season to me is the constant twinkle of lights. The elegant glow the tree and candles give off make a cozy atmosphere.
Our personalized stockings for our family are red…I tried putting them up with the rest of the decor and I just couldn’t do it this year 🙂 it was way too drastic with the rest of the laid back feel. So, I snagged these 4 ivory knit stockings off of Amazon for only $26 for a 4 pack! They are nice quality and the price point was perfect!
Normally for Christmas I put up 3-5 trees – this year I just put up one of our small ones. But I am in love with her! Yes – her name is Glitz. Everyone names their Christmas trees right?! I had fun decorating this year because I shopped my house (winning!) The only thingsI bought were the ribbon from Hobby Lobby and a few more extra gold leave stems from Hobby Lobby as well. Faux branches and sparkly sticks top her off!
I wound faux eucalyptus garlands that I usually use during the spring around the tree and stuck in other faux green picks. I added in mercury glass ornaments and some other trinkets I had around – like the antique keys! This tree was fun because it enabled me to just be creative by using what I had on hand. You really can make a lot of stuff you already have work with some imagination!
I absolutely love the coziness the living room has this Christmas season – the best part is I will be able to keep a lot of the items I used all winter long! With a crazy little 16-month-old girl it makes me extremely happy to not have to change up a lot. I know all the momma’s out there can understand 🙂
I hope you enjoyed my Christmas living room tour! Make sure to check back on Wednesday to see some more of our home decorated for the holidays!
